wednesdays and fridays with Adrian Paci and Chiara Camoni
26.10.2012
I attented a workshop with Adrian Paci at Viafarini in Milano. For the last day he asked us to bring something with us: a text, or an object and to share it with the others. Chiara Camoni had invited me in 2007 to participate to her project “Letargo” at MAGra. Adrian Paci responded to the idea of making of. Chiara Camoni responded to relation: inviting and interacting deepening the art experience through sharing.
Since the big hall upstairs was empty, Chiara and Adrian's works stepped out from my studio and were shown for a week. Most of the interventions of wednesdays and fridays with lasted more than one day.

upcoming My proposal for this wednesdays and fridays with happened to take place almost at the end of the project. I wished to make a performance at a specific moment and within a specific context. I invited people to read about art. Casino Luxembourg has a wonderful library. The readings were fragments I had chosen from books in different languages not evidently mastered by the participants. The idea was once again to guive a certain priority to perception than comprehension or better to how we try to comprehend things once it's not possible for us to understand what is said. What can we learn from the sound, pronounciation of an unknown language? How do we face an unknown material? Creativity happens where unknown possibilities develop and open to imaginary connections and possibilites. People joined to read and gathered in my new studio which had stepped out of my studio. The container had become a content in itself and this content became then a new space to contain other activities. This way my intervention was also without previously establihing it in, shown and especially acted in the big hall upstairs. |
