Chance happens. For this dialogue I invited Michelangelo Consani to interact with the idea of relation.
His proposal was to work with fragments of stories related to our previous encouters and of which I have some written memories as well as with elements which were connected to these moments.

Several years ago I participated to one of Michelangelo’s collective exhibitions. It was by Venice for an original curatorial project by Marta Casati in a camping site. Unfortunately the weather for the opening week-end was really awful. Considering that most of the events and installations were outdoors the situation was surely not favorable. When Michelangelo left to go back to Tuscany I found a piece of cardboard, recovered by aluminium foil. It was used by Michelangelo for his installation but, he left it there, since became useless at that point. I took it with me.
I told him then. Michelangelo’s proposal was to let me show this piece with a sound installation of thick rain falling down.

I showed for this dialogue, in discussion with Michelangelo, the video “I am very happy”. I realized this video one rainy night. We were in a car and we were friends. Michelangelo was there. We were not so enthusiasitc. It was raining, so strongly. It was night. We were slightly depressed. Michelangelo with his irony and sarcasm wrote on the car window “ I am very happy” which actually did not correspond to the actual atmosphere. The written phrase disappeared and re-appeared in the night by car flashlights, highlighting the fragility and volubility of our emotions.

For this dialogue I invited also Trixi Weis. I think that Trixi usually works on these changeable feelings. She decided than to show, without actually not knowing what Michelangelo and I were showing, her work “labskaus”.
At a certain time Trixi's cellar was flooded. After some time Trixi went to the cellar. The water had disapeared but dried little frogs were lying on the floor.
She collected them and it was “labskaus”.
Without knowing it the three works were part of the same atmosphere, rain, light sadness though a little happiness.
